But our babies are only babies for a short time. They grow up all too quickly. (Says the mother of an almost 15 year old boy! Impossible!)

Oh, and the sprouts recipe sounds DE-lish!

Cheers - and Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.
CindyThe Mulligan Familyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14684946371469424044noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6434726458328084701.post-76298928545339935492009-11-25T18:27:08.393-05:002009-11-25T18:27:08.393-05:00Oooh, I just realized something about my Thanksgiv...Oooh, I just realized something about my Thanksgiving efforts... my daughter HAS escaped from my clutches, her life is happening so much more out of my reach, on a daily basis. She's just turned 13, and every week, it seems, some milestone disappears without my taking proper notice. Last hand-holding crossing the street? Check. Last reading-aloud before she goes to sleep? Check.

So I'm cooking my elaborate Thanksgiving dinner as an antidote to losing those moments, to pretend I have a life of my own, even if it's only chopping and sauteeing.

So Bravo to you, to seize the moment. Enjoy, and Happy Thanksgiving.Kristen In Londonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03812033421757298431noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6434726458328084701.post-90614636319363653512009-11-24T12:54:05.304-05:002009-11-24T12:54:05.304-05:00I can vouch for the sprouts.

I love Thanksgiving because our family meet after long time and we can enjoy time spent together. However, delicious meals just make the atmosphere perfect. We are back to 13, none of them ours, but the wife's nieces and nephews.

Then there was the year my wife put her foot down and said 'I'm not moving my kitchen good to Pleasantville for a weekend so you can host Thanksgiving, come to my house or starve' and meant it.
