The End of Summer

Well, it's over. All that laying around the bed, piled on top of one another.

Reading in the middle of the afternoon to escape the sun.

Taking off our clothes and running through the fountain in Columbus Circle, for no particular reason other than the spirit moved us.

Small things climbing big things.

Conjuring up some mischievous business that is just between sisters.

That's the long and short of it really. Nothing too flashy, our summer. But nice. And I've been finishing the book proposal and sending it out to people to read, oh, and cooking. Lots of cooking and eating and hanging. I have a lot to tell you.

Sometimes the most inspiring posts of all are the ones in which you feel you have nothing to say.

So yes, I'm inspired.

I will no longer feel ever so slightly ashamed when the girls run around the block naked. Despite the old lady down the block who I know is staring out her window. Is she wistful or judging? Who cares?

So glad we have Twitter to keep up to date.

Those two are going to be really dangerous in a few more years.

Glad to see you back, and after a dry spell of months, I actually have a backlog of posts.

Sounds like perfection to me! Just "being" and enjoying each other are the BEST times.
